okay to make long story short, ever since i got this car, i've been running into overheating problems. basically i cant drive my car for more than 10 mins, or the coolant cap starts hissing out steam and the thermostat goes above(ROFL) red.
first i noticed that i did not have a coolant resevoir(overflow tank). but i got too damn lazy so this was my solution.>>><img src="http://i28.tinypic.com/167qdxe.jpg">
yes. they do wonders LOL so i flushed out the rustwater thats been in the cooling system for a while and put new coolant in.
okay problem solved? no. im missing a hose that goes from the coolant resevoir to the wherever. i have the hose coming from the upper radiator hose to the coolant resevoir but i have no clue where this side goes to.

wow sorry for the long post, but can anyone help me out? anyone know where the other side of the hose is supposed to connect to? and im also missing the sensor for the resevoir. does that affect my overheating problems?

thanks!:D

there is only one hose to the overflow. on the stock overflow there is a second hose that comes off the cap of the overflow that just dumps to the ground.

as for overheating did you check to see if your head gasket is blown? start the car and let it run, see if there is any abnormal pressure in the rad hoses( sort of inflating like a balloon) if so then you might have a bad head gasket.

hope this helps
