I was wondering why my coolant light would be stuck on??? It just shows the yellow birdcage and is really annoying... What would cause this.. a faulty sensor on the overflow tank if i'm not mistaken?? Or what?? Any help is appreciated.. Thanks..

Fairly easy to check the sensor.

Two wires shorted when the plunger is down and two wires open when the plunger is.

Unplug coolant sensor from the chassis.

Meter resistance.

Open when full and closed when empty.
