Hello all! This will be my first question so here goes. My goals are to have a fun daily driver. I'm looking for the mid to low 12's on pump gas, full weight. '97 AWD 5spd in process of 1G swap. Here is the fork in the road:
Freshen up the 1G with 9.0:1 pistons and get a quick spooling T28 with supporting mods or leave the stock 7.8:1 pistons and get a bigger turbo.
Willing to FMIC in near future if necessary, but $$ adding up fast. Planning on walbro 255, 650cc, SAFC, FPR, to leave room for the future mods.
I like quick spooling for daily driving. Stock internals have checked out to be in order. All looks well from the bottom. But, the engine is out so now's the time.
Toooo many decisions! I have the clean slate to work from though. I wanna do it right
