So After one month of working on my car and waiting for the ecu to make it run which it did friday finally then last night bam nada. I went thru did all the maint. changed oil, spark plugs, timing belt balance shaft belt, new turbo, exhaust, gauges to monitor, and a 3" gm maf to help tuning purposes, safc 2 and a inovative wideband. So after a day of driving only got into boost twice drove 43 miles and bam pulled over due to lack of power not romping on it turned off the car to check the motor and bam wouldnt start back up. now the ecu is good, spark is def there, def getting fuel, new fuel filter pump injectors ran into an issue with the aftermarket regulator currently running stock not good witht the 255 but rich is better than lean. got it to a garage today to look more in depth did the compression test and 1&4 have no compression, 2&3 are good 150 dry. plugs were soaked in fuel. checked the timing marks on the cams and when they are lined up number 1 is not at tdc, when it is the cam gears are not lined up, im going to pulll the timing cover off tommorow and check how the bottom is looking. see if i have a shitty timing belt or it just jumped timing i really hope not, but there was not sudden stop in my motor it was idling crappy when i started to drive it which would explain timing being off. I pulled the valve cover off, is there a way to check to see if the valves are bent without pulling the head? the plugs had no metal shaving on tehm and i looked thru the holes and didnt see metal anywhere. all the valves are still in the springs! Would that be correct if the timing belt jumped hopefully no more thna 2 teeth so my head aint screwed, that the compression test would be 0 in 1&4 due to the cams not being in the correct position? I just want to reassue myself on this question, I have xperience just never ran into a problem like this and its been years since I messed with an interference motor military makes you forget things thanks

Take #1 spark plug out. Place a socket extension in the cylinder. One the the extension at it highest point, the motor is at TDC. Check the marks on the cam gears at this point. If they are off, you may have bent valves. Hopefully this is not the case.
If the motor still spins, put a cap of oil in the cylinder, and see if you get any compression. if you do, that means that the rings are bad.

I used the screw driver to check # 1 cylinder at top dead center, the cam gears were not lined up but I will do the cap of oil thing and see where we sit tonight 6 a.m now but I will update with results pulling the entire timing belt cover off to see how the belt skipped have heard of stories where it happens on new installs it suck for sure lets hope the damage is a minimum on the head still a valve job is no fun! But that would give me 0 compression due to the valves no closed right?

You definitely skipped timing. 1 and 4 come up at the same time, so I'm assuming you bent valves on those two. A leak down test will tell you for sure, but I'd put money on bent valves.

So I got the timing done again and still no compression def. the valves. pulling the head in a little bit to see how bad they hit the pistons. I will keep everyone informed thanks for the tips
