Has anyone ever done a compounding turbo setup on an eclipse? I read somewhere that this produces between 50 - 100 psi. Is this possible on an eclipse?

Dude, didn't you just ask this question about running twin turbos? Go with whats proven unless you just want something to look different for the judges on your non-running trailer queen.

50-100 psi? Thats a awfull lot, LOL. The most boost ive ever heard of on any car was like 40 psi on a double supercharger v10 or v8 setup, some old race car. Has any car ever even had that much boost?

I didn't just ask this question LOL. I did a little more reading and found that this kind of setup is rare and usually found in tractor pullers LOL. I was just curious as to whether this was even possible on other cars since i read it on a hot rod website.

hmmmm tractor engine, car engine. Little bit of difference, maybe if you put in titanium valve springs and a tec III exhaust... oh don't forget to cut out the floor boards and bolt in diamond plating! LOL

yeah yeah i know theres a diff btwn those engines BUT these turbo setups are on some hotrods so laugh it up all you want.

Your post gets 2 thumbs down:thumbdown :thumbdown (as well as your first useless one) - for your future reference: post something useful or shut yo mouth

Most of the tractor pull motors I have seen are diesel and are designed for one or two runs, for a show car or some type of exibition this would be possible and fun to try, although there would be alot of fabricating to do for it(I would hate to be the one to have to sit down and draw those plans out).

Turbo magazine did a write up on a compound induced mr2. It was super charged and turbo charged. Their theory was use the roots blower for power down low until the turbo was spooled. I forget what size turbo they used, but it was pretty big. Not very practicle but it does work.

whats the big deal with turbo lag? if you're actually racing you wont have it except for about a second in first gear...and if you're willing to spend that much money to compensate for this

pass the weed
