Hey fellows, got a grinding noise more sounds like something is loosen at the lower passenger side whenever i step in the clutch. I searched and read the past posts but couldn't find any symptoms related to this. It only makes noise when i step into clutch and shifting above 3000rpm and goes away right after i left the clutch. Oh, forgot to mention just got the tokico struts and springs installed. Please help!

Well, from what you are saying, I would figure it's probably the throw out bearing going bad. If it isn't doing it in gear when driving and only when pushing in the clutch pedal that's about all it could be.

Look at your disc and pressure plate while you got the transmission out.

Good Luck

What parts do I needed to purchase and replace to be able to fix this problem? I'm still on the way to learn, please help!

Well, that's the 64 dollar quesiton. Most likely just a throw out bearing. However, I would wait to buy until the transmission is on the ground and you are looking at the entire clutch setup.

For my money, If I'm replacing the throw out bearing, I'm replacing the disc and pressure plate as well. I would also have the flywheel reground.

Good Luck

usually the synchronizer's go first and then you start losing gears(1st or 2nd,etc)or it wont stay in gear.trust me you will know when the tranny goes. :thumb:

happend to me 2nd started to grind a little then a little more then after a while 2nd no longer existed you will know when its time for a new tranny :thumb:

It would be senseless to have the tranny out and only replace the TOB. You would want to do a clutch upgrade and step the flywheel. This will atleast prepare you for future mods.

I have act2600 in the car now, gears are fine, just the noise when steping on the clutch peddle, so i guess it's not transmission.
