Who: Me
What: My clutch fused to the flywheel and wouldnt disengage.
When: About a week ago
Where: Mile High
How: I didn’t let off the clutch properly during launch and dragged it like an amateur. :ohdamn:
Why: I got excited and lost all focus racing an M5, an expensive mistake I know, tough lesson learned.

The question: Think I can get away with resurfacing the flywheel and slapping it back together or am I SOL?

I agree with what's been said take the fly wheel to a shop and see if it can be saved. Looks like it could be resurfaced since groove is not to deep but a shop can measure and make sure your within specs. While you have her opened up just go ahead an put a new clutch in her so everything will be nice and smooth. Just my personal opinion can not speak for the group.

If you reuse that clutch its a risk that you can take but in my personal opionion that rough surface may tear into the fresh fly wheel and cause more damage. Its possible that when you use clutch kinda like brake pads could smooth out the rough parts just hard to say most are gonna tell you to replace it to just be safe. Just depends on how much of a risk your willing to take its your money.

Not to mention that if it doesn't work, you will have to pull the transmission back out. How much is your time worth? Its better to do the job once then to have to tear it back down and start over.
