hey im stuck at work right now with the clutch stuck to the floor and out of clutch fluid:cry: i have the act 2100 clutch and was woundering if it took tranny fluid or oil (checkers needs to know i never had to touch the fluid until now)

DONT put tranny fluid in the clutch!
Use CLUTCH fluid or brake fluid if you have nothing else.
The problem is if your clutch is on the floor simply refilling it wont help as you now have air in the line and needs to be bled.
The question should be "Why am I out of clutch fluid?".
Check the clutch slave for any leaks.

Add brake fluid. After you add the brake fluid try pumping the clutch pedal a few times, it may come back up, but it sounds like you have a leak somewhere you may see the fluid running out

yeah buddy same thing I am going through! your gonna have to bleed the system one you get one! It doesn't take that long, check for leaks most probably slave cylinder so replace that once you make it to da house!

damn so im stuck at work right now until 8 then im getting some dot4 droped off is it alright if i put it in and pump the cluthc a couple of times just to make it home? oh i also took a quick look around and felt around i felt no oil or anything so it might of just been really really low

Check the resivior to see if you actually have fluid in there or not(most likely not, but good to check anyway), then check the slave cyl (do a search for the slave cylinder so you know what you'll be looking for) and make sure that the bleed screw is on tight, should be just left of the oil return line....otherwise you'll be pushing out all the new stuff(good for bleeding, bad for trying to make it home).....next check for a puddle near that area while you're down there...

Good info in both these posts. Also check for fluid beneath the clutch master cylinder as well as any fluid coming down the actual clutch pedal arm (under the dash) itself. If these check out ok then check the length of the clutch lines.

Crankwalk is usually a problem on the 95-96's Every once in awhile you will see it on the 97's. Rarely do you hear of crankwalk on the 98-99. Plus that has nothing to do with the clutch losing fluid.

True, but I was one of the rare '99s that had it happen. But I agree not to be too concerned about CW at this point. Although possible, you most likely would have been having various symptoms for awhile now and from my own experience if the crank really was pushed over that far the motor would probably not even run right now.
