Ok... so mods are in my profile and are up to date.

Here's the specs I'm getting from my crank...

Mains:

#1 - 2.2434"
#2 - 2.2435"
#3 - 2.2437"
#4 - 2.2435"
#5 - 2.2436"

Rods:

#1 - 1.7709"
#2 - 1.7712"
#3 - 1.7710"
#4 - 1.7712"

I don't have my haynes manual sitin near me by the momment, but I know there a wee bit out of spec.

Now.... with this motor, I've been noticing some extreme oil pressure... say 100 psi. by 3-3.5k .... and then the gauge pegs.

Also, since I'm building a stroker, I'll probably just cap off the squirters and call it a day, which would further increase oil pressure....

My logic is now to leave the mains/rods standard size with the added oil pressure and this should somewhat equalize everything out.

I do know it will bring oil pressure down, which is much needed on this motor, and I'd rather not rely on oil housing porting to bring pressure down. :beatentodeath:

What do some of you more experienced guys think???

Anyone have ideas to MAFT/SAFC settings on inital startup? Right now the MAFT is set to 780cc injectors (aux 2 base 5) and idle, mid and high are at zero... as well as having everything zerod on the SAFC.

Thanks in advance :thumb:

Firt thing I would do is get something for engine managment or go down to at least 660cc injectors. You are going to be running so much timing using a MAFT with 780cc injectors.

One thing with your bearings are you have to measure or plasti gauge them all and write down the numbers. then try swapping the loose bearings with the tight ones and do it again. If you can't get them all evened out then make sure you put you slightly larger rods on your larger journals. Should help you out some.

Personally I wouldn't even start a new motor with a MAFT set for 780cc injectors. I would put the stockers in and set the MAFT to 450cc injectors and don't use a boost controler to kept the boost pressure down as low as possible until I could afford something in the lines of good engine managment. EPROM and chiped ECU or EMS like AEM or MegaSquirt.

I'm going to see what I can do with the meth and 780's. I know they're overkill.... but I'll have an EPROM and I'll have a custom chip made soon enough. (a few short weeks) I just don't feel like swapping things back and forth. Plus it will be at low boost untill I have the motor fully broken in anyways.
