Many of us are looking to buy parts and are looking everywhere for the best price. I'm going through this myself right now. I figured I'd start a thread that lists all the items I want and hopefully people can respond with the cheapest price they have seen and a link for the item with that price. I will update this at the top of the page so people following my path in the future won't have to spend too much time searching.

Here are the parts I need ... feel free to add more parts if they are a good deal: ( 7 bolt 97 gsx )

JE pistons .. with pins and rings
Eagle Rods .. with arp bolts
Crank bearings .. oem or better
Rod bearings .. oem or better
mitsu metal head gasket .. enough said
arp main studs ..
arp head studs ..
hks 272 cams ..
act 2900 w/ 6 puck ..
fidanza friction surface ..
bolt on 60 trim t3t4 .. automotosports.com has it for $995
balance shaft eliminator kit ..
concept racing mbcad kit ..

if there's any more common parts feel free to add them but I'm looking for the best prices for items listed above. Thanks for all your help.

DSMTuners helps you get the information you need and DSMtuners exists because of our sponsors. So lets help out sponsors out by buying products off them.

They are hardcore DSM guys like us and though they may not have the best price on EVERY part your buying experience from a DSM shop will be the best one and when you need advice guess who will be willing to help you?

People who price shop and price compare and buy this here that there and hagle over price always end up spending the most in the long run but for some reason thing they spent the least. ;)

It cannot be said better than he just did!
Shop around and try to beat up DSM guys for prices and then cry when things go bad because you didn't do things the way you were told to and you have to go back with your tail between the legs to ask for help from the only guys who can really help you.
DSM Shops will give you so much more than just good prices for parts. They also help you out How-To and What-To and Why-To do things and that is priceless.
Mitch.

I have no problem paying a little extra for parts, but I've seen ACT 2600 frm $350 all the way to $471 .... spending $471 on that clutch would just be plain stupid if you can get it for $350 elsewhere. I'm just looking for a place that has the best overall deals. Thanks.

[rant on] What normally happens is that they call or email and play 20 questions with the long standing and knowledgable shops knowing full well that they aren't going to buy a thing. That 30 min. of time that it takes to answer their questions causes the shop to loose revenue when they could have been working on something else. Then that same person takes the information they get and try to find it somewhere else as cheap as they possibly can. If something goes wrong, they bi*** about how bad such and such shop is because they gave them what bad information, which usually turns out to be that they misinterpreted the information that was given. This is the reason that so many shops now are so tight lipped on answering questions for non-repeat buyers. [rant off]

I just got mine from him :X the total for the whole 50 trim kit identical to the AGP kit with 50 trim was like 1290.... just msg them and they will quote you .. good stuff

I bought a lot of stuff off ebay, and never had any problems. The prices were great, and I always got the stuff. I would suggest www.ebaymotors.com i got a whole lot of name brand, brand new stuff for my car at a fraction of the price that I would have paid at some shop.

I just want to add that that is NOT our kit that they are selling, and you get what you paid for.

Reasons like that is why I don't buy dsm parts off ebay. Those guys on ebay don't even know there are different versions of our motor... used to go with roadraceengineering which is a good place to buy from but the more I look the better prices I can find.

aside from buscher, i wouldn't deter to far from our sponser venders. there reps speak for themselves as well as there quality in parts, and there knowledge is not sub par like some other fly by night web sites.

nothing wrong with trying to get the best price, but make sure the quality and craftmanship is there as well.

We are not an ebay company. Moreover, like i told Ben from AGP, the customer confused the AGP turbo kit with a 50 trim turbo kit that he was interested in and he bought it with a turbonetics manifold, not AGP manifold. As you can see on the site we do not have any parts that say AGP on them
thank you

If I remember right from buying my parts, here are some of the cheapest places for each item I know.

ARP main studs - www.prostreetonline.com (arp rod bolts are cheapest here too)

ARP head studs - www.slowboyracing.com

Balance shaft elim kit - $22.50 http://www.eagleautomotivewarehouse.com/Imports/Mitsubishi/4G63_Prices.htm

Also remember you should get new 3g lifters, oil squirters, freeze plugs, oil pump, water pump, all new tensioners for belts, etc etc etc

http://www.fasterthanyou.com/ has a new crankshaft kit w bearings for ~$300 I think. Thats how much you will spend getting your current crank balanced and micropolished. Their website is down right now tho.
