Has anyone else has a problem getting there CD player trim piece to fit in the console. Mine hits the bezel. I ended up using a file on the bezel and it looks like crap so i ended up buying a new bezel. Is this issue avoidable or does everyone have to file the bezel around the CD player. Any input is appreciated.

I know that this may come off as a smartass comment but some people don't know, you can't just take your stock unit out and put a new one, you have to get some sort of dash kit, specific to the car.

Oh nice, Okay I didn't really understand what you meant then, that's kind of just a CD player type problem, that little grey part on some are thicker, skinny, designed, if you need to trim the bezel for that one to fit, then you need because that grey peice is the only one that'll work with that one assuming it's the one that came with it, I have had some that came close and also my DVD player fits perfect, I would have tried to trim the grey outter peice before the bezel itself.

I have pretty much the same install kit and had the same problem when my Sony deck was installed at Best Buy. The solution: File down the sides of the plastic bezel. :notgood:

The good news is that I have a spare un-molested bezel in case I get another CD player that doesn't require an install kit like that. If you file it carefully, you won't really notice anything once everything's in. But I recommend getting a spare bezel in case you upgrade later.

I mounted my radio more flush with the factory bezel, and someday will get around to making the 1/16" trim piece I need to neaten it up. I didn't use the gloppy frame that came with the radio.
