I can't find a 6bolt CAS pigtail. A buddy said I can use a TPS pigtail from a 2g? But, I've seen that some people say it won't fit b/c you have to shave the keyways down on the CAS. Then some people have said that it just plugs right on. I'm just wondering what I should do? I've asked around for a CAS pigtail and can't find one, and I know for sure I can go grab a TPS off a 2g. Thanks guys.

Are you swapping a 6 bolt to a 2g car, or do you just need a replacement pigtail for a 1g car? If the former magnus has Electrical | Magnus Motorsports plug and play harness for it. If the latter idk offhand where to get a replacement, might have to to the dealer or a junkyard, but if its just wire damage you could resplice it as long as its not right by the connector and doesn't leave you room to.

You can use a tps plug from a 2g. Your buddy was right. Just have to cut on it a tiny bit to make it fit but theyre almost identical.

^^^ Thats a sweet deal with the nice pigtail it shows for 15! Id be all over that OP. Looks puuuuuuurty

Unfortunately its just the connector for 15

The 1g CAS connector with a "pigtail" is 40 bucks. I ordered one from JNZ, quality is amazing, worth ever penny.

The connector is for the TPS, the CAS is sold only as a pigtail. Whenever I replace these connectors I like to slide the pins out of the old connector and put them back on the new shell so i am not that impress with having to buy a pigtail that will require removing the pins from it. I would resort to splice a pigtail only the actual wire is brittle or hardened which in make so far has not been the case, i guess I am lucky.

TPS connector due to their location are much less prone to harden and fall apart when touched like the CAS, so it's easier to source them at a junkyard in good condition. You still need to hack the shell though which I would not do, I'd rather begrudgedly buy a CAS pigtail (which I did from JNZ a while ago, don't know their current asking price though).

Ya, thanks for all the replies guys. I saw the one on JNZ the other day but they want like $40 before shipping I believe. That's just more than I want to spend on a pigtail, even though it comes pinned and with some nice new wires. I might just grab a 2g TPS and cut the plastic on that. I just don't want to mess with the keyways on the CAS. I would just re-solder this one, but of course the cracks/breaks are right at the pigtail. If I do get a TPS pigtail from a 2g (which i probably will), how do i know which wires to solder together? Do they happen to color match by chance? Thanks again.

Im not sure if this applies but every now n then the classifieds can help. I scored a 1gina2gb harness in near mint shape for 25 shipped. Im sure it could be used by just cutting the other end off....

That is rare though, dont see those come up often and its overkill for you and unnecessary extra plug.

Another option could be sourcing a '90 CAS with its harness pigtail. Possibly a little bit pricier but you could forget about frying the connector plastic.

The wires going to the TPS are different colors and also a little bit thinner than the ones on the CAS, the matching criteria would obviously be according to their position using the old CAS connector as a reference (see an example below)
