I recently had an issue with the car not going into gear while running and clutch engagement was right off of the floor. I replaced the following:

Rebuilt master cylinder
Rebuilt slave cylinder
Full stainless line
New OEM TOB
New OEM TOB clip
New OEM pivot ball
New South Bend SS/TZ Clutch and Pressure plate
New ACT Streetlite flywheel
New ARP Flywheel bolts
Hydraulics are bled using a vacuum bleeder.
Clutch pedal assembly is newly rebuilt with 75 miles on it.

I got the car running again, shifted perfectly, and engagement was near the middle of pedal travel.

After about 75 miles I noticed the pedal engaging lower and within the next 5 miles the car would no longer go into gear again. I moved the adjustment rod all the way out (no threads showing towards the pedal) and the car will still not go into gear while running. Using Jacks Trans adjustment method, the slave cylinder always pushes back into itself regardless of adjustment rod position. Even all the way adjusted out. Shift linkage is clipped in properly and works with the car off.

Any other suggestions as to what could be happening here?

thanks,
Kevin

I seee a few possibilities, slave or master, pedal assembly, loose tranny bolts or a leak

Pedal assembly is rebuilt. 75 miles on that. I will add that to the main post, forgot to mention it.

I had someone push the pedal in and out and checked where the line meets the master and slave and no fluid came out.

The slave or master may be the issue as the rebuilds could have masked an issue for a few miles.

My other thought is a bent clutch fork. It sits in the center of the opening but I haven't checked to see if it is bent though. I will get it up on a jack and check the fork and bolts.

im not a fan of rebuilds.you can watch slave movement when pedal is pressed. See if at least looks reasonable for lack of objective measure. How was pedal rebuilt? Ive seen them fail nearly immediately when paired with a stiff clutch.

The slave rod begins moving as soon as the pedal is being pressed and has about 3/4in of travel but that is a rough estimate.

Pedal was rebuilt with JNZ rebuild kit. Pressure plate is 2200lbs so I wouldn't think it is too much but I am unsure. The pedal doesnt appear to have play in it like it did before the rebuild.

You cannot simply rebuild a pedal with a kit. It HAS to be welded since the metal wears out. It's not a worn out bushing issue in most cases. If you can grab your pedal and lift up on it.... if it has ANY play in it lifting up then your pedal assembly is likely still trashed and will need to be welded properly.

If you end up doing this make sure that you set the pedal in the "all the way out" position prior to welding it.... otherwise you'll permanently "break" your pedal in the way that it's currently broken because it will be fixed in that position with a weld.
