1G Car shaking intermittently

If this has been answered before I'm sorry, for some reason the search feature wasn't working all that well for me.

The car, 90 Eagle Talon TSi AWD/LSD/5sp w/6-bolt cyclone swap

The problem:
Basically the car will begin to shake as if its coming apart and I can hear a pretty good thumping noise. I can pull off the road and stop and immediately take back off w/no vibration or thumping noise whatsoever, but it will come back intermittently, could come back a mile down the road, could come back 10 miles down the road. It does it in gear and out of gear and still pulls while in gear if i press the gas.

I'm leaning towards carrier bearings but just thought I would get yall's thoughts on this problem, we have a local "DSM shootout" coming up Apr 3 and I HAVE to be there

If you can isolate where its coming from, that would clue you in alot easier. But crawl under there and take a look at the carrier bearings if your leaning that way. In a car of its age, I would be more surprised if they were in good shape. See if they visibly sag, they should be roughly centered. Drivers side motor mount always breaks on these cars as well, if it hasn't been replaced already.

Yea, all mounts were replaced w/the swap.

I can clearly push the shaft up and down, as well as side to side right at the lobro joint/rear carrier bearing and I can see somewhat where its been smacking around in that area.

Before all this happened you could feel a vibration near the rear of the car under acceleration.
