OK so this is kind of hard to explain because you need to feel it to know what i mean, but i will try to explain it...

when i give my car alot of gas i hear a very loud whoosh sound from my intake, but it seems like all that noise should be causing a lot of power, and it just isnt. it feels as though all that air is being wasted? what can i do to check and see?

edit: and its also bogging up hills, and kind of bucking at shifts sometimes..

yeah theyre all okay, except i have one just kind of hanging there, the one that i believe is supposed to go to the charcoal canister?

my friend did one, and didnt find any

Not good enough. You need to be there for it and see if he's doing it according to the guides on here.

If I had to guess, I'd say there is probably going to be a leak on the intake side of things where air is drawing around the MAF sensor.

If he did it properly, and you saw him do it properly, then grab your CEL codes. Even if there is no CEL, they'll store in the computer. If it's not that, then you've got to do some detective work.

*edit* if it turns out to be a disconnected vac line, don't trust your friend's boost leak tests ;)

ok then, tomm morning i will check for a boost leak and also plug up that nipple thanks guys

eek im afraid not i do have an intake now, sorry about that guys. and im sorry to say i didnt watch him do it haha

Try to keep your profile up to date. We look at that and make a lot of suggestions based on it.

Do you have an aftermarket boost gauge? If so, add that to your profile. If not, you need a gauge of some form to do the boost leak test. The one on the instrument cluster will not do the job.
