Car idles at 2500 rpm

I've tried searching for this problem but i cant find a forum with the same problem as me.

I finally got my car to start and when it starts it idles at 2500 rpm and i get a
p0340 engine code(camshaft postion sensor). Could that be why i'm getting a such a high idle speed? I'm also thinking that maybe my throttle body gasket might be shot (air leak maybe?) i'm gonna check that out later.

Glad to hear you got it started. Look for vac leaks, there could have been a chance there is a gasket letting air in (at the TB and IM) or the o ring that mates the TB to the IAC is letting air past it when you changed it. Spray some carb cleaner (or something to get the idle up) or listen carefully to the hissing where the IM and TB are. You may want to clear the code (if there is no misfiring) as it could have been from the faulty sensor.

I took off the TB and the gasket was shot. I went to autozone got a new one and now the car runs perfect no misfires or anything. So i should just clear the code?

So i went to go eat dinner then i came back turned the car on and the engine light doesnt come on anymore so the car is good to go Thanks to everyone that helped get the car back on track!!!
