Coming home last night just as I pull onto my street going about 15mph...BANG car shuts off and I drift it into my driveway. (At least I didnt have to walk far  It has compression and tries to start so Im guessing timing belt snapped (again!) More bent valves I suppose just hope there arent 4 huge gashes in the pistons like last time :(

Pulled off the timing cover and the belt jumped some teeth. It was out of alignment and now the car wont even turn over. I can see marks inside the top of the timing cover where it got hit by something.

time to rebuild the head again.........hopefully your pistons are ok, althou you cranking it didn't help it.

Well Im pulling it apart tomorrow when its supposed to be nice out. Hopefully all it needs is a belt...

The belt is real lose and it did skip 1 tooth looks like.

No. You need valves as well, at least.

Not necessarily... I sheared a bunch of teeth off the timing belt at the crank on my old N/A 4G63 Laser, cranked it over repeatedly in an attempt to start it, and after realizing that it was in fact the TB replaced it and resumed driving with no ill effects.

Could a timing belt jump teeth????
My car had the check engin light come on then it died,I pulled the coad and it said 24 (C.A.S).But I just did the timing belt 500 km or so. So I am hopping its that insted of the c.a.s because it is like 1000 bucks for a new one. But I never heard of a timing belt jumping.

I picked up a CAS from a junkyard for $40 and it worked fine. Youve never heard of a timing belt jumping teeth? It doesnt...it shreds them.
