Car dies for no reason at random

Well, i just bought my talon n/t and well it run fine but for some reason it just totally loses power for no reason at all, and it's totally at random. It happens when idleing or driving but when driving it jumps like it quits and starts right back up. what could be the problem it would be greatful if somome could help

Well, all that chart did it discribe partly what's happening to my car but it dident help any because my car it doesn't stall and shake when it stall's it just goes dead and compleatly stops running and some lights come on. other then that the chart dident really help much.

this is the exact same thing that happens to my gf 95 eclipse rs, whats wrong? changed plugs and fuel filter.

i think it runs better when the car is a full tank and on premium gas...may just be a coinsidence

but it also randomly stalls.

Thing's I've done to try and fix random stalling

1. cleaned out t/b with t/b cleaner(still stalled)
2. changed fuel filters(still stalled)
3. dropped gas tank and flushed out
4. changed fuel pump(Problem is gone)

What fixed my problem was changing the fuel pump

My friend up at murray's says either the ECU is dieing or the catalytic converter is pluged up anyone else agree with him because new ECU for my talon is $336

Sorry for the old thread wake up. But i am having this problem alos and i was hopin someon could shed some light on the situation. I tried going to "Oldmans" links but they didnt work.

i have the same problem my car will idle high then it will drop to nothing took to the shop there telling me its deffentally something electrical . i cannot figure out what to do neither can the shop need suggestions 95 esi

ok i did some research and alot of sources tell me that it is the ISC (idle speed controller) im going to try it and ill let you kno what the results are

Yeah i was thinking along the same lines as to the ISC... but my ecu just fried...again . but lemme know what you find out. Oh and some prices if you replace it would be nice.

Change spark plugs, fuel filter, make sure there's no throttle body leak, and could be bad battery or alternator. Not sure what you're saying about jumps and quits but it be clutch adjustments.

Plugs are fine, wires are fine, battery is new... i have yet to do boost leak test...

This is happening to my car right now. I found that my fuel rail and FPR are losing connection at certain points and is causing this problem. I have just been to lazy to fix it at the moment, that and limited funds. Hope this helps with your problem.

What do you mean by "losing connection at a point"?

Hi my 95 rs does the same thing was hoping for it to be the ignition switch but changed column and didn't help my gauges also drop to zero when it dies was thinking maybe ecu starter or starter relay any help greatley appr.
