Car acting funny in gear

I was pulling into work just a few moments ago, and I had the car in second. i had the clutch pushed in and i was just rolling into the parking spot. Well my car starts vibrating. I look at the rpm's they are fine and steady at about 1200.. So i put the car in neutral and it stops. I go to put it back in second. It grinds. 1st grinds. 3rd 4th 5th. They all grind. Then I let out the clutch and push it back in and it goes into 2nd. But its starts doing the shaking thing again. Sitting still. Then it starts like its trying to go foward. I take it out of gear and back in and it stops shaking. Im confused.

Sounds like you blew something in your clutch, it dislodged and is now throwing your clutch/flywheel assembly off balance when in gear. Dont try to force it in, hell dont even try to drive it in my opinion, if it keeps doing that, you dont want to mess up your tranny or anything else.

Your clutch is not disengaging properly. Like robs90tsi said, it could be something in the clutch that has failed (pressure plate for example), or it could be a bad clutch master or slave cylinder. Check to make sure both cylinders aren't leaking and maybe try to bleed the clutch to see if that's better. Definitely try not to put it in gear too much until this is fixed, or you could be looking at fixing a tranny later as well.

I hate this is car. It stopped doing it.. It was shifting fine. Then I was dropping my sister off today. And it just stopped shifting. I had to drive all the way home in second gear at 10 mph. Then I got home. turned the car of and started it back up just for the hell of it.. It shifted just fine. I hate this this.. I am about to put the damn thing on the front yard for sale for 1500.. I hate it i hate it i hate it..
