Car acted really funny

here in MN today was our coldest day this year (still no snow) i went out to my car (only day this year i havnt parked in the garage), when i started it, it had a really hard start then id idled really low usually it goes to 2 grand then calms down to around 1 pretty quick. Then i noticed it had a CEL. So i figured it just need to warm up so i tired to rev it a little and it just sputtered above 2 grand and wouldnt go higher. I tried to turn it off then restart it and no difference. I drove it a little later when it was warm, no CEL but wavy idle and just ran like crap. If i tried to boost it hit what felt like fuel cut. Can anyone help me out

Is the car warming up to a good temp? Did you flash that CEL to see what it was? Thatll pry answer your question.

i don't know what happens to turbos in the cold but my n/t did that one cold day and the gas peddle was heavy and hard to get to high rpms. All i know is that happened when i recently changed my oil 10w-30 and i know you turbos like new oil so that could be the problem. The oil being very thick at the start and almost bogging down the engine internal is my voice in your problem.
