alright guys, i came across a buddy who has some turbos that he bought at auctions. he has them just laying around and wants next to nothing for them. anyways there is a garrett that has an A/R .48 on the compressor and an A/R .51 on the turbo. he let me take it to see if it would be useable. i figure not, but i'm tired of the t-too small. i'll see if i can get a digital camera for some pics, any input would be helpful.

p.s. i know chances are i would still need a new manifold and o2 housing to make it fit. maybe worth it since there is no shaft play.

As you mentioned, you might need a new O2 housing and a new exhaust manifold. If you get both of those, there is no reason it wouldn't work. Now whether the ratios are ideal is another question, but in response to the direct question --> a turbo will function as a turbo on any motor provided that you have the proper means of attaching it!

If it is a garrett turbo, you're gonna need to get a different manifold depending on wich flange it is T3/T4. You're gonna need a new o2 housing as well. Exact specs or pics would help alot.

Yeah, i knew it would not bolt on. i plan on buying an evo III 16g within a few months. this is just curisousity more than anything. i just wanted to know how big it was compared to a t-25, t-28, 50 trim, etc. i've been lazy and haven't did any researching, trying to ask and take the easy way out. anyways, since there is like a 2% i might use this turbo, please no one but to much thought into this post. i probably never should have started it in the first place.
