Can an amateur build a 6 bolt from a bare block??????? I wanna learn

My best advice: don't be afraid to take what you're working on to a professional when it makes sense. Unless you have a proper machine shop at your disposal, you're going to want to become friends with a local machinist at a bare minimum.

Be willing to accept that there will be some things your home shop will not be suitable for.

My advice: Don't do anything cheaply, do it smartly (if that's a word). I re-re-built my engine after some one went cheap on some parts when they rebuilt it the 1st time 10k previous to me doing it.

Get a mitsubishi gasket kit. You don't have to buy all the after market rods/pistons to do it right. But at the same time if it needs replaced then by all means ugrade if you can aford to and still not skimp elsewhere.

Things like an oil pump, water pump and tools add up quick and can double the price fast if you don't account for them in your budget.

If you are having the block bored you may want to look into finding a place with a 4g63 torque plate, if this is out of the question your piston-cylinder tolerances should be left a little looser.

On the isuue of not having a hoist> Do you have a garage? If so you can rig up a pulley and a come-along to use as an engine lift, this way you wont use up extra floor space and best of all its free. This is what I use in my garage and it works like a charm. Your gonna definetally need an engine stand though, you can get them used for like 20-50 dollars and a new one isn't much more. Good luck and don't be afraid to get your hands dirty.
