Well I need a new front set of tires. The inside of my tires are bald. My car is dropped about 2in. I did a camber kit in the back but nothing in the front. In the front, the camber is -1.9 left and right. Not sure about the toe but I kno its off. Will I be ok just getting new front tires and getting the toe aligned to 0? Or is the -1.9 camber still enough to eat my tires? I just dont have extra money to buy something that I wont really need.

since its lowered, there isnt really anything you can do, you can buy a kit and it will help a little but you are just going to haft to deal with going through tires like crazy

Well if I get the toe set at 0 will that be good enough even with the negative camber?

The toe is what eats tires, and if there's camber either negative or positive then its even moreso. With camber you're just putting more pressure on the edge of the tires, but with toe you're effectively dragging the tire sideways. -1.9 is a fair amount for a DD. You can pick up some adjustable upper balljoints from Rockauto for cheap money, I use the -1.5 to +1.5 ones on mine. You could also go with the adjustable upper control arm to body mounts. Whatever you do, pick up a kit and get an alignment.

hmm, where did you get the rockauto ball joints at?

ya get that suspension stuff and get it aligned, because just like what was already posted if either one of the adjustments is out of speck the whole thing is out of speck(i used to do alignments for a living) but it is very hard to get a lowered car just right unless you are willing to put up the money

okk, so you guys really think its worth getting a camber kit then? -1.9 is too much?

i cant remember if that spec is too much on that car because each car has a certain range that the speck should sit in, so it could be fine and there could be another speck out of alignment, or worst case is a bent part like a control arm, is the wear on your tire only on one side of the vehicle? and on one sid of the tire? and is the tire feathering?

its one both sides. Im sure its from the bad toe. But I just dont want to ruin new tires even with the toe at 0 with that negative camber.

then yes you need to get adjustabel parts and get it aligned asap, befor you throw new tires on it, and i recomend that you have a specialty shop align it and if they offer a lifetime alignment or something like that for more money, buy it that way you can have it realigned as much as you want for as long as you own the vehicle, i know firestone, tires plus, and ok tire all offer this but they try to stay away from lowered cars, and they wont adjust aftermarket suspensions, thats why i recomend a specialty shop, good luck:thumb:

I ran about -4* of negative camber in front and -3* negative camber in the rear of my Integra with the correct toe and my tire wear was almost perfectly even. TOE kills it 90% faster than camber, 1.9* is nearly nothing.

YMMV.
