Well call me crazy but here is my idea any opinions would be greatly appreciated.
Okay so as of right now I have a 97 rs 5 speed and I mean sure its great and all but I would just like a little more power under the right foot. My car right now has all the bolt ons and runs pretty good. My idea however is to sell my rs hopefully get about $3000 for it and buy a nice gst or something. Ive been looking on craigslist and found some gst's for $3500 and even a nice gsx for only $4,000 so what to you guys think?

Uh, get you something besides a DSM, it will be less of a headache in the long run. Unless you really love them, then get you a GSX.

if your short on money buy a 1g GSX or TSi AWD
they run a little cheaper:)

That's what I had to do. I REALLY wanted a 2gb Eclipse GSX or Tsi AWD, but I couldn't find one cheap enough. I ended up with my 1991 Talon Tsi AWD and I love it. I'm glad I got a 1g, I love the look they have.

sell your 2g n/a
and buy a 1g awd...

they run for close to the same amount.

Yes i always wanted a 1g but somehow I found my 2g but theres no turbo so yea i feel like I gotta get rid of it. The only thing is that with the 1g its already a pretty old car and theres usually some rust and high milage and the usual stuff with older cars

You plan on buying a low-mileage, rust-free, turbo, awd DSM for $3000?

You're in PA and looking for a low-rust car. ROFL
And good luck with the low mileage too. My car had 192k when I bought it. My sister's had 138k, and it was a GS.

With your price range, you'll be lucky to find a 2g GSX/Tsi AWD for that $3000 mark that doesn't need work.

I did see a 1g with overheating problems sell for $800 in the Cleveland area. I wish I had the cash because that car was clean. My guess was a bad water pump. Just look for a deal like that. :thumb:

Yeah thts pretty much what im gonna look for I really dnt mind the high milage on the body as long as the engine has been redone or somthing and doesnt have a crazy amount of miles on it like 192k
