The br440. I dont know anyone who has used it. I know the br580 was on my freinds galant. And the br6whatever was on darryls hudsons race car for while. I know the br 580 is a rather larger turbo and i have seen it on a stock motor vr4 and it did decent. Personaly for the price i would find somthing with a little more "backround" but its not going to be a bad turbo, or at least i wouldnt think so.
 
See..LOL im lookin to trade my one car for this dudes car with the turbo on it. Apparently its the first unit made and he's not really too certain of the specs on the turbo, but from the pics he sent me, it looks to be the size of a 50 trim, well judging from the compressor housing.
 
The BR580 is a 60-1 in a PTE bolt on housing.
 
Hey it's Buschur, they build Shep's racing engines, how bad can it be :cool: . BUt honestly I have heard good reports on Buschurs turbo's. Just seem a little high priced. But if the car is coming with it I think it would be a pretty good investment. The numbers stand for what HP the turbo can push out (or so I've heard from people over at Buschurs)
 
I remember reading about the BR440 on Buschurs forums a year or so back as they'd tested it on their EVOVIII. If I remember correctly they made 440WHP (hence the name).

I *believe* it is the non-BB GT32 turbo with T04E compressor housing as it came out at the same time Precision T&E released it, though Buschur has never disclosed any specs on their turbos in the past.

On DSM Times looks like someone turned an 11.4 @ 122 with one (only BR440 listed). Looks like he's also a Tuners member :dsm:
 
I use to have this turbo on my car until I went with the 20G setup I have now. the turbo would hit full boost 20lbs very quickly, not quite sure but I may have some old logs that i can check to see exactly when. I had the following: 3"exhaust, cams intake pipes, fmic and an aem ems with a very mild tune in it. It was one of the fastest and smoothest turbos out there. Its a internally gated 50 trim. Good for around 440 whp, as someone stated above hence the name. If you have any other questions about it just let me know.
 
From what I know (Nick can clear this up if he wants) Buschur has been copied many times in the past, and they dont like to give out to many specs on their products because of that. Buschur's name speaks for itself and if you want specs you can contact Dave or any of the staff there and they'll be happy to suggest different setups for your goals.

Correct my if I`m wrong but arent the BR440,500,580and 675 just renamed SCM turbo`s from PTE.
