So, I finally was able to buy a nice welder. I looked around, and around and around and finally came to the conclusion to buy a Hobart Handler 210. I bought it from Tractorsupply.com as it came in a package with gloves, pliers, cover, regulator, and the best thing of all a SPOOL GUN!! All for around $900. Here's the pictures of my setup. I bought a cheap chicago electric cart for it all to sit on and a 40cf bottle of C25 gas. Also got the cheap $50 auto darkening helmet from HF while I was at it.

Anyways, here's some pics:

I had to wire up a 220 outlet for this thing, so I wired in a subpanel outside and hooked up a 110v outlet and a 220v outlet that was long overdue.

Once that was all wired up... I was able to finally get to business and give my little peice of mild steel a shot. Here's some beads I laid quickly.

That thing will last for YEARS AND YEARS and weld well beyond it's rated capability (hobart is now owned by miller and they are now the best of both companies) I bought my hobdart handler 135 (now the handler 140) and it's paid for it's self over and over again ebfore i even went public with my welding (sone one always needs something fixed :D)

Beads look pretty good right now, there's something ytou cna improive here and there but just remember to concentrate on the puddle as it flows and you move it and no to much on the metal around it (other than watching the weld to matrial edge as you doen't want to be too hot and staart to undercut the toes) (concave edges)

But i think you seem to know what you're doing well enough for mig'ing so now get out there , practice with some differenmt wire when you can ( i love the this .024 autobody wire for about eveyrthing DSM related) also you can use c02 to get a hotter deeper weld form your MIG, and if you use fluyx core wire (the kind that don't need gas) but then run gas with it you'll have some of the smoothest welds seen
keep it up buid, looking good
