boost too low?

I have a 2g eagle talon tsi and I have a turbo timer w/a boost gauge but it reads in mmHG, and it has a reading of .98 as the highest boost level ever reached. Do you think this is low, I don’t have a boost controller or anything but I have removed the BCS restrictor from the little tube, this number sounds low to me, do you think that maybe I have triggered the knock sensor? ( I had a real bad exhaust leak for a while, fixed less the 50 miles ago) if so what should i do?

sounds like a BAR reading. 1 BAR = 14.7 psi, so if you're reading .98 BAR, you're right around 14 psi. Sounds normal to me.

are you saying you are running .98 bar?

if so that sounds like a little higher than normal boost level for a 2g.

thats about 14.5 psi and more 2g's run about 12 stock and the bov leaks at about 13-14

ya i think that that is bar too, sorry for all of the confusion, i thought that 1 bar was more like 12 psi, but sounds like i was wrong, the reason that it is higher then stock is prob because of the mod to the BCS.
