BOOST problems or not

alright heres the deal, i have a 96 tsi. i have a boost guage and attemped to install a very shity boost controller. after realizing that it was a huge mistake i tryed to hook everything up to stock. i took some advice from what i thought was a reliable source but now im not so sure. the car was running 14.5 psi for a while, i was told that was correct, im not so sure about that. now i have uic/lip 1st gen bov and injen intake. after putting everything back together the car is running about 8 psi. so after putting to parts on the car it is about as fast as it was before, im a little disappointed but if thats how its suppost be be than i guess ill have to deal with it. if you have any thoughts on what is going on please give me your advice, thanks much

seems to me that you have a boost leak.. get a leak tester and find out exactly where its leaking

What do you have for boost control now? Just running a boost source straight to the WGA? You put on IC pipes so it may just be harder for the t2small to keep up the boost?

right now i dont even have a boost controller on it, but the way the lines are set up it is only running 8psi, is that even correct??? should it be higher or not, and i recently replaced all of the lines so that shouldnt be the prob.
