I have a boost leak at my number 4 cylnder injector, I know this may sound dumb but how do I fix that, get a new ring, or is it to do with me overtightening the fuel rail.

BTW. I just found my new 6-bolt today and will be bringing her home sunday, aww she was so cute sitting in that 1g. MITSUBISHI engieners are more like engequiers, someone so got fired over the 7-bolt. LOL

searched and found nothing of relevance to me just a bunch of post saying umm is this an insulator?

I am just wondering if anyone knows if it is possible to overtighten your fuel rail and it cause a leak at the seal. just trying to avoid buying one, plus its cold out there and this is my only car so I cant really have down time. I replaced them earlier with 560cc.

When I mean earlier I mean like 2 months ago and the seals are new.

Take the seals out and inspect them, you probably sliced one of them during installation.

At the bottom of the injector there is a rubber seal/isolator installed in the cylinder head. Were these the seals you replaced 2 months ago? If not, P/N MD087060 from your mitsu dealer is the part you need to replace them. Might as well do all four of them.

Usually they leak because they harden with time and heat, not because of tightening, however it might not hurt to check the bolts with a torque wrench. Over tightening these bolts can cause the bolt to fail. If it breaks off flush with the head, it can be a real pain to replace. Good luck!

ok I will give a report tommorow morning thank you for your help. and yes those are what I am talking about.

Also possibly check your fuel rail to make sure all the spacers are there, they can fall off when you undo the fuel rail and then when retightening the rail it can be uneven.
