boost gauge tap question for 2g

just got my 98 not long ago and noticed that there seems to be a spot tapped and a screw blocking it, and was wondering if this is for a boost guage or if its somthing else

That does appear to be the location that most people tap for a boost gauge (the line running from the fuel pressure solenoid to the intake manifold).

yeah thats where it goes and thank you for the help, just wanted to make sure

Yup, it looks like the old owner didn't have a fitting to put it there, so he put a screw in there. I would def attach a new fitting or replace that vac line. Don't want that screw popping out while driving.

Even if the screw does pop out you probably will hardly notice. I was driving around and popped my boost gauge line off the T and the only thing I noticed other than a dead boost gauge was a better idle. It raised my idle up to around 800 instead of 700.

I was talking about the screw popping out, and hitting a moving part. Not the line coming off.
