Ok, I have a autometer cobalt boost gauge and a 60mm greddy gauge in my center console that has the "memory" and "warning" function. Anyway, I was "street tuning" my car today and my autometer gauge read 13-14psi, the greddy read pretty much the same, (its in bar so its hard to tell) and dsmlink read 10psi... which one is more accurate? I would think its the autometer one just bc it going straight to a vacuum line, but my buddy said he had a couple autometer's be off on him by 2-3psi.. So which one is more accurate?

if both boost gauges show the same boost, and the dsmlink shows different, then i would trust the majority. what is the dsmlink using to sense boost?

i would guess it's just being estimated like the stock boost gauge does. i assume if you mess with the maf compensation values it will throw the boost number off.

that and they are measuring actual boost and not a calculation. on a mechanical gauge as long as the needle sits somewhere in the box they put around zero, it will be accurate with vacuum or boost.

Boostest in dsmlink is just that, an estimate. It should be close to your actual boost between 5500 and 6500 ish where VE is 100%.

DO NOT rely on it however...same goes for the AF RATIO in dsmlink.
