I bought my dsm in January and the lady I bought it off of used it as a daily driver. 1 year before I bought it she sent it to MAACO and got a 300$ paint job. There are many flaws and they didn't paint inside the doors or under the hatch line. My worst fear it that there is rust under the doors around the bottom of the car on both sides, behind the hatch line and around my shock towers under the hood. What should I do for the cheapest price to fix this? Thanks for feedback.

First for the door you can get brand new ones. For the trunk hatch remove the shocks and sand the rust, then clean the area with wax&grease remover then tape and paper off the area and primer it. Then later paint the car. Pm me if you get stuck

sand down the areas real good and you'll probably have to puddy over the rusted areas.... make sure you get all the rust off and seal the body up good, because if moisture gets in there it will eat your body away from the inside out. very bad!

Also, just wanted to throw this out there, if your chopping/cutting/sanding away at your body, you may want to work quick because steel oxidizes (rusts) within 50 minutes due to moisture in the air.

Depending on how bad the rust is you can try a rust remover wheel on a drill. If the rust is bad enough you'll have to cut it out an weld new sheet metal. Never just put bodyfiller over rust. I will just spread an cause alot of problems. If you have to cut and re-weld. They make a product, cant remember what it's called but its weld through primer. So it doesn't rust in the 50 minutes as mentioned above. Because when your cutting and reshaping with sheet metal like that you will have to take your time and do it right. If you still need help just holler:thumb:
