I'm actually thinking of getting a bodykit(well, at least the sides and rear)...and I was wondering if there was a way to remove the 'line' that runs down the sides, you know, the one near the bottom of the door. I dont wanna just take the easy way and fill it in with something because that'd fall out over time with my luck. I'm not looking to mold anything on, but I'm planning in case I cant find anything but the 'high' blitz sides...or, i'm open to ideas of how to modify those sides to look right :)

I was hoping there was some way to maybe pull it out of the metal, which would be alot of work... I'd prefer modifying the kit around the line so it'd look right, but i'd still be able to go back to stock without any signs of ever having a kit(like if the kit ever busted...) I know I can cut the front part down to line up with it, it's figuring out a way around the vent on the skirts....

Thats rediculous. You cant pull it out without permanently destroying the door and warping the metal to shit. Just fill it. Beleive me, it's not going anywhere, its not like molding sideskirts, theres close to no flex in that area. If you have to remove it for whatever reason later do you really think its going to be easier to bend the metal back  or just media blast the fiberglass out?

I was just curious is all, and if it were possible to pull it out of the metal, then if the kit went, there would still be nothing visible, but if It holds out like you say, I may do it, how much do you have filled? just the door, or is it on the fenders too? personally I think it'd be easier to modify the skirt around the car.... but I need to see pics of what I'm thinking about....

You can get kits that flow very nicely with the door piece on. I've seen quite a few people who put side skirts on and take the door piece off and it looks stupid, including basemodel RS's which simply didnt have them.

I'm not talking about the door caps('cause I dont have 'em and never wanted em), I'm talking about the line molded into the metal of the doors, fenders and quarters, it's where the top of the door cap normally is.... and the only kits that really go with that line are the ones designed around bomex or the low blitz sides...but i've found a set of high blitz skirt that fit well, and are affordable...but I dont wanna remove that line, 'cause it'd be too much trouble.
