Once in a while when I really get on it when I let off my friends say there is a small black cloud of smoke that comes out of my exhaust? What is it and is it okay. By the way if it's because it's lean I have a 255 with a stock fuel pressure regulator I'm getting an aeromotive soon.

It's just a sign of excess fuel dude, basically your running a little rich upon start up. Do you have all the neccessary lines hooked up correctly?? Does it smoke when you get on it??

I didn't get the afpr yet and no it doesn't smoke ever only once in a while when I do that.

907 is right. The black smoke is unburned fuel, probably a result of the 255 fuel pump pushing too much fuel and the stock fuel pressure regulator not being able to bypass it to keep fuel pressure down. The higher-than-normal fuel pressure is basically forcing more fuel through your injectors. Getting an adjustable fuel pressure regulator will keep it under control.
