I bought a new tranny from TRE. It is installed but THE BACKINg PLATE HOLES DO NOT LINE UP WITH THE STARTER bolt holes. Did they send me the wrong tranny or did the shop do something wrong? Did I get a 6-bolt? I have a '93 AWD 7-bolt! PLEASE HELP!

Contacted by Jon @ TRE. Probably a "generic Misdrilled" Case. Will update. Mark

Allproblems resolved. jon at TRE was great in assisting troubleshoot over the phone.Mark

That's really cool of you to keep us updated. A lot of people would just complain and forget about the thread. Thanks :thumb:

TRE may take a while, but once everything is sorted out, you will LOVE that transmission.

Well it's working great. Seems the new case is made to fit all AWD's through certain years. Had to change some brackets and drill the backing plate where it overlapped the starter bolt holes. I also went with an ACT 2100 and street flywheel and the 10% 5th gear reduction. jon said an 18% is being made avalable this fall. With $2.50 fuel i may go for it. Thanks, mark
