Big Meet at Gasworks 4/5/09 Lets Crash It!

So I've got word of a fairly large meet at Gasworks park on April 5th I think we should get a huge group of DSMs to go crash it. I was given an invite and told to get more DSMs to roll but I'd like to completely take over . We usually always have good turnouts of DSMers for these function and Zack if you're reading this you are the king at rallying people we should try to get 15+ people to roll. Here's the email that was sent to me.

We are having our second upcoming meet this year and I am trying to pull together everyone I can think of that has an interest in tuners. We have a list of 15 celicas +, supras, sti’s, a skyline and a bunch of other random cars. This meet originally started out as a Toyota Celica meet and has grown past that. We just meet and hang out and take pictures. I have a guy coming this year that is a professional photographer. Should be a good year. Please let me know if you plan on coming so we can accommodate. If everything pans out the way it looks we should have around 30-50 cars. Sunday April 5th

Alright this will be the final post about plans.. these are the SET plans for the April 5th meet @ gas works.
We are currently looking at 42 cars as it sits at this moment. Im sure this will greatly INCREASE as we get closer.

Walkies:
For those of you who have walkie talkies we will be on channel THREE

North End People:
We will be meeting at Alderwood mall around 10, we will discuss a location there once the date gets closer.
Leaving Alderwood mall at 10:30-10:45AM. No later than 10:45AM!
Arrive at Fry's in Renton Around 11-11:15AM, depending on time we leave.

South End People:
South End/Oregon guys will be meeting at the South Center Mall around 10-10:15AM. Leaving at 10:30AM SHARP
Arrive at Fry's @ 11:00AM
If you are NOT caravaning with the south end guys, you need to be at Fry's @ 11AM.

We are going to go ahead and have a BBQ here.

We will get a supply list together once the date gets a little bit closer and we can verify everybody that is going.

Post Gas Works:
After Gas Works we plan on heading over to a parking garage and getting some good pictures of all the cars together.
Possibly the parking garage east of Qwest Field which is south of Union Station. The parking garage is on the corner of 4th and Airport Ave.
Any input on a better parking garage is welcome!

The guy I've been keeping in touch with says the list is still growing fast. It sounds to me like this meet might be ridiculous huge. I'm dissapointed in the number of people intersted in going we gotta get out for meets like this to show the area the DSM scene is for real.

**UPDATE**

This is a pre-meet warning, for anybody planning on attending April 5th's Gasworks park meet.

This is going to be a Car Meet not a Race. We need to keep this as peaceful and safe as possible, and need to maintain a good outlook for the car community to other commuters.

Me along with some other members will be strictly enforcing the following rules which are NOT allowed at any time:
No burnouts
No drifting
No racing between cars.
No excessive speeding.
No wreckless driving which will put other people in danger.

Anybody who is caught doing any of the above will be asked to leave the event immediately. And if the cops are called due to the fact of YOU doing any of the above, you will have no affiliation with us at the meet. You and you only will take the fall for your actions.

Now we all know that we want to show off what we have got and how fast our car is, This is fine as long as you do it in a safe and respectful way. Please keep high revving to a minimum through the city, once we get on the freeway feel free to open it up as long as you do in a safe manner.

Also, on the freeway we all expect to see fly-bys and such which will be fine.
