I just recieved my translator but Im having the biggest problem in the world. As of right now I have the stock 450 injectors in. I installed the translator, hit the dipswitches accordingly, and set the base for the injectors which were 2 clicks over(+2). I crank my car up and Im reving at 2300 rpms. If I lean out my idle, I can only bring it down to 1000 rpms but then the motor is shaking like crazy, obviously b/c there isnt enough fuel. So after about 2 hrs of playing with the knobs, I decided to plug back in the stock mas. I crank the car, 2000 rpms. Can anyone please help??

Info:
2.5 in. UIC piping, Tial BOV (Trying to do the blow thru setup), 3" intake, stock injectors, 3" LT1 mas, and 3" full exhaust.

The fuel shouldnt really affect your idle that much.

You need to let the car warm up before you start messing with any type of tunning.

As a matter of fact, the ecu can pretty much tune itself at idle. Unless for some reason you have settings of by more than 12%. Which still should idle.

Don't know. I take it it wasn't idling at 2k rpm with the 1g maf before you put the translator on. Maybe reset the ecu and leave the 1g maf on; see if it will work right.

If you put the translator on and have stock 450 injectors, then you shouldn't have to mess with the base setting at all, it should be zero. You can the base setting to compensate for bigger injectors.

Also get a pocketlogger so you can see what your fuel trims are; it will make tuning the maf a lot easier.

Yea I was originally idling at 800 rpms, and the enrichment is switched to off. I think I might know what the situation is. I put on a new uic piping, and had to stretch my cruise cable a bit to fit it. With the cruise cable stretched, would it pull the throttle open??? I was also told from teh parts guy at mitsu that if I wanted to eliminate my cruise control, I could just re-route my accelerator cable. Is that also true????

The throttle cable is almost certainly your problem. To remove the cruise control all you have to do is go buy a new throttle cable for a non-cruise car and install it.
