I am planning to ship out my 6 bolt block to have it machined, but I don't have the weight of a bare 6 bolt. Does anyone know what they weigh?

are you sending the crank out with it? that will make a big difference.
but i would say 75-90lbs without crank.

I guessed it would be 100 lbs, it would cost me $75 to ship from missouri to Jackson Auto Machine in Maryland UPS ground.

You sent it to JAM? good luck w/ that. JK!
I haven't sent it yet, are people not having any luck with jam? I am looking around for a good machine shop to machine my block right now.

I had O'Reilly's Machine shop do all my machine work. Prices are reasonable and the work looks good.

Did they use a torque plate? Is that o'reillys the auto parts store chain or a different place?
