Ball Joint and Tie Rod Replacement Boots

I had to take my front end apart the other night to get new bearings put in the hubs. In the process the ball joint boots were damaged and the tie rod boots were shot. Of course there is noone around here that can get replacements and i dont want to spend 120 bucks for new ball joints and tie rod ends just to get boots. Has anyone else ran into this problem?

you can replace juss hte boot...prothane or energy suspension should have some

is it the tie rod boot that broke? You might be able to get away with just the bushings, but depending on the mileage replacing the whole tie rod end might not be a bad idea. Keep in mind you will more than likely need and alignment after such a job

price of a tie rod from a local parts store most likely will be the price of haveing new boots shipped, just get them at your next alignment

IS there suppose to be a boot cover over the ball joint and tie rod end joint?

yes there is supposed to be a rubber boot

Just did the tie rod ends on my Talon, and they were just $13 each, and easy to replace.
