Hey,
I am in the market for a new turbo for my stroker setup. I am currently running a 50 trim with a .48 ar exauhst housing and am getting a lot of boost creap beacuse of it so i am going bigger. I am looking at 2 different turbos, the turbonetics single ball bearing 62-1 or a gt35r. I am using this car as mostly a street car that is going to see a good bit of track use. From what i have been reading so far i really like turbonetics single ball bearing apllication. Both of these turbos are around the 1200 dollar range and I am just looking for some advice and experience with each of these turbos so I can compare and contrast the two. Thanks for the advice in advance.

Turbonetics BB 62-1 is an awesome turbo. Have a friend using it and it spools a good bit faster than the GT35R and is great for daily driver. I beleive he is still pulling 20+mpg.

What kind of numbers is your friend putting down?

Do you have any horsepower numbers? I am interesting in pushing about 500+ horsepower once i get my SMIM. I know the 35r will get me where i need to go, but the more i think about it the more i want to try the BB 62-1. This is manly going to be a street car run on 93/cam2 most of the time.

It's been around a lot longer than the GT35R has.

Do you know anyone using the bb 62-1 turbo from turbonetics? Trying to get some real world numbers for the 62-1. I am having trouble finding people using the 62-1. It sounds good from what i have read but i havent seen any real world numbers.

I am currently building a 2.4L 4g64/63 and I was looking for about 450 with 93oct and comp 101200 cams. I went with the gt35r cause with the added displacment it should have a fairly fast spool for the street, and more than enough flow.
