bad performance shop

6 months ago i took my 2g talon to a place in york, pennsylvania called ****** ***. They said they could put a new motor in my car no problem. They kept sayin for those 6 months that they were gettin motors in but none of them ever came for some reason no that i have my car back with no engine in it i find out that they have had many complaints for rippin people off and and we r getting a lawyer and filing a civil suite becasue they dont plan on giving the $2300 i gave them back. They told me that i snapped 2 connecting rods and put a hole in my oil pan and block witch was a lie because i looked at it. My block is screwed because they dropped my engine in the street in front of my house no body was home wen they dropped it off so it was just left in front off my car on the street for me and my dad to pick up and put in the garage. I just wanted to warn eveyone about them . take my advice and never give them ur bisness

Try, Good Guy Bad Guy and tell them your experience. I know I look through it every once and awhile to find out who to buy from and who not to by from.




I don't know why the mods don't like people voicing a problem from a shop of this magnitude. You got ripped and now you are going the way of the law. It should maybe get closed, but not erased. With it being closed it will remain, but with it being erased you can't search the shop name and find out what kind of crook they really are.

i think we should have a forum where we can post things like this. I dont call it bashing i call it giving our fella DSM'ers a heads up. I think we should be able to say whos ripped us off so we can look out for each other so it doesnt happen to one of "us" again.

trust me i have a few shops i can tell you about but ill wait and see how this goes so i dont break any rules

i agree, but when ya bash shops.. thats bad for buisness and ya dont get sponsers that way. just my .02

ehhhhh i guess in a way if thats how it works. I just dont see the point of protecting someone who doesnt run a fair business.

If you've had a bad experience with a particular shop, then recommend better alternatives instead of complaining about your experience. Negative feedback tends to attract fraudulent accusations which can put undeserving shops out of business. Post the positive feedback, not the negative - it will be just as helpful for people trying to find a good shop.

Try to keep in mind guys, the reason we built this site was to help enthusiasts learn how to install parts themselves in the first place (as well as see which parts are available for DSMs). This site was never intended to be a research tool to find which shop has the best customer service. If it was, we'd have to focus all of our attention on that subject to insure that fraud is kept out of the equation, and that's something we don't have the resources for. We would like to help the consumer without harming the undeserving businesses.
