Okay my car boost creeps from 15 to 20 lbs and back fires at 5000 to 7000 range.I know why I got boost creep. when i Back fire I get flames out the exhuast. never done this before this is the first winter with the car modified. Check my mod list. But I know im not leaning out and hitting fuel cut because i have huge flames coming out my exhuast. at first it was cool till it ruins performance during runs it makes a huge pressure drop and loss of power.I have a datalogger and the o2 sensor reading is always around .80-.81 which is rich so im thinking I should lean it out a little bit. Another I though about was running sum smaller gap spark plugs. I think my cars spark is getting blown out because denser air is being boosted but please any comments or solutions let me know.

Buy a logger. The O2 sensor, and EGT gauges will not give you the tuning info you need. .80-.81 sounds lean, but 90s are a wierd year.

Sorry, its unusual to see someone with a logger not mention knock, injector DC, and airflow.

*hint, hint*

well yea I have a Logger and I also make and sell cables for them. But the thing is I dont get any knock high rpms just that low rpm stuff when you start off. I was told that was normal in the winter months. yea and i was told that .80 and up was rich but its the border line between rich and lean for our cars. judging by the flames I'd say im rich but I've ran it this way all year never happened till winter. Im gunna put the smaller gapped spark plugs and lean it out 3% top end like you said

Okay it was definitely the sparkplugs. had the damn thing at .044 gap and the spark was getting blown out. SO I wasnt running rich at al i was running lean and having problems burning what little fuel I had period. cause when I did some pull tests afterwards my turbo was glowing on the turbine side. so I bumped up the fuel high end and its glowing less and less as I bump up the fuel I would use the datalogger but i have to make another cable so till then ( 17th my next shipment of electronics components) im going off ofhow it feels. actually pulls harder when i add more and more fuel. I suggest for any one who is back firing to try .028 gap spark plugs before going and buying fuel pumps and fuelcut defensers, bigger injectors ,fuel filters and tune ups. Chance are its the spark plugsgeting the spark blown out of them because of all that cold dense winter air. Number one cause in my opinion same thing with all of my friends witht he same problem.
