Axle Install Problem

Yeah, I was having the same trouble. You've got to climb under the car and work both arms in and get two hands on the green cup. If you can manage to find something to put your feet against like a wall, use that and push off. Otherwise just keep giving it sudden bursts of power pushing in towards the tranny. It will pop in, just needs brute force.

make sure u dont just jam shit in there. LOL you need to be careful with the splines on the axle so they mate with the tranny. the stupidity of my friend taught me this. LOL!

tap the green cup with a hammer (gently) while you push it in....there is a retaining clip on the shaft that's giving it some resistance. The vibration from the tapping will help the clip find its way in.

What makes it tricky, is that there are two spots for the circlip to go into. It will hit the first one and thats when you have to apply pressure. At this point the splines are already matched up. If you do use a hammer be VERY careful. The boot tears easily. I say just press until its mated up with the tranny.
