AWD Suspension on FWD car, is it doable?

One of the mounts that holds the torsion bar for my lovely fwd suspension ripped in half from running around a track. I would like to get into autocross but i don't want to have this thing break again.

Is it possible to put only the independent suspension from an AWD on a FWD without doing a full FWD-AWD swap? What would you need to replace?

Is it possible with lots of fabrication... sure. Is it anything like the same swap would be in a 2G.. no.

But.. since you will not need the pumpkin it might be. No one has ever completed a 1G AWD swap, but since you won't be using all the parts...

Take a look at a 1G AWD model and see if your frame matches in any way first.
