Title says it all, everything else works. Break lights, hazards, headlights. The turn signals, interior lights (only gauges), tail lights, and parking lights wont work. I checked all the fuses and they appear to be fine. I cannot find the problem.

Also, would this cause the check engine light to come on?

Recheck the taillight fuse (15amp) as it controls all these things. It is the 6th one in from upper right in the top row of engine fuse box. If not that, check the taillight relay (try swapping with another). It is the 3rd one from the right in the middle row. And no, this shouldn't cause a CEL.

Ok so swapped that fuse... 5 times blew each time... what the hell

ok so you have a short (to ground) in that fuse circuit somewhere. Temporarily replace that fuse with a small 12 volt light bulb. It should light if there is a short but will not burn out your wiring. Then start removing and disconnecting things that are on that circuit until the bulb goes out (taillights, marker lights, license plate light, dimmer switch, fog light, cruise control, every light on the body - even the headlights). Start with anything you've messed with lately. When it goes out, the short will be in that circuit.

man I have the same exact problem on my car right now. I have been searching for the short for days and i still can't find it. I've tried removing all the bulbs and such but im still lost.

Im not sure where the guages come in tho because on my wiring diagram I have in Chilton it doesnt show them on the circut. Mine dont work either but I dont know where to go from here. Maybe someone else can help.

actually i didn't even realize luv2rallye was trying to help me as well, but I still cant figure it out. I also have another question, the chilton manual that I have says it's for 90-98 and I have a 98 but in all the wiring diagrams I cant find one for my car only a 91-97 but I just assumed they were the same, what do u think?

I had the same problem with my car. I just went to my local Kragen auto parts store got some fuses, got my instruction manual to read where to install the fuses, replaced the broken fuses, and everything worked fine.

You just replaced fuses? Cause I've went through every fuse in the car and none of them are blown...except the taillight fuse that keeps blowing.

i finally got my car fixed it was the wire in the radio area that is for he dimmer/illumination on the deck. It was a green/white wire that was grounded and not supposed to be.
