Today about after 5 minutes of driving I stopped put the car in park with out shutting off the car I put it back in drive I didn't feel the car engage into drive it took a few seconds. so I hit the gas the car moves slowly but then catches gear fine. once it shifted into second it felt like it slipped out of gear a few seconds later as if it went into neutral. The car wouldn't engage into any other gear after this happened. I pulled over checked fluid level looks ok no leaks.
after turning the car off and then on it goes into gear but the same happens again after about a half a block.

I checked the TCU codes and it flashed 63 = short circuited torque reduction execution line
I removed the TCU to check for physical damage and it looks fine no cap leak or burnt board.
so i reinstalled the tcu to double check and it still does the same thing. but now when i go to check for codes it gives me constant short pulses which = to it being ok.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Sounds like a solenoid going bad. I had a simalar issue with mine but it would down shift hard and then on take off it didn't change out. I pulled over and turned off the car and it drove fine. Go have the fuild and filter changed and see what outcome you get. I wouldn't recommend power flushing because Mitsubishi don't recommend power flushing of any fuilds on own cars. Good luck on founding out what's going bro.

I should have noted that the trans oil and filter have been changed. I also did a master rebuild on trans. I installed it drove fine for a good 2 miles when I got home put in nuetral to check the oil level the problem started to happen. I don't think i have a mechanical problem it deffinatly is a electrical problem. One of the solenoids did read .400 kohm on the multi meter the other 2 read 24 ohms which is odd.

UPDATE: So i finally replaced the solenoids with a brand new kit I purchased from IPT. The car drove fine shifted well for about 10 minutes of driving. Then the same problem I was having emerged again. The trans goes in and out of drive and then goes in to neutral mode. I turn off the car and start it back up shift into gear and it sticks but than after about 3 minutes of driving it slips out of gears again. Has anybody had this issue and if so what did you do to fix it ?

New Update, Car is back on the road! :D Its been cold and haven't had much time to mess the car. The problem was dirty oil and a clogged filter. Even though I put a new oil/filter after the rebuild, I installed the torque converter that i did not covered up nor did I replace the trans fluid from before the install. So my problem was from small/ground up pieces of fiction plate material clogging up the filter which caused pressure issues inside the valve body/solenoid making the care shift in and out of gear. I changed the oil 3 times and filter 2. The last oil change I added B&M trick shift after that my problem was sloved.

Question: Does anyone have an auto with a shift kit? and how hard is it suppose to shift back into 1st gear?
