Well I got a 98 auto gsx on a trade but this car had a bad tranny. I found a guy about 2 hours away that would take a spare 16g for trade on a tranny. I put the new tranny in and noticed it was a bit different but I was in a hurry so i figured I could make it work (stupid I know, now im paying the price) First off, the new torque converter that came with the trans didnt match up with my stock flexplate, I drilled them a bit and got them to work. Second the wires coming out of the new tranny werent the same. But I figured it'd be fine (another dumbass mistake) 3rd, my drivers side axle didnt line up so i customized it.... and now that I got the car running, I come to find out it wont start off in 1st gear, even if i manually select it, and when I go from park to drive/reverse it kinda bangs into gear. Is it possible I got a 1g auto trans? Or a 95/96 tranny? Looks like Im gonna have to get a new tranny, torque converter and flexplate thanks to myself.....any ideas guys? Please dont flame me, I was rushing and this is what I get. :banghead:
