Are these signs of a crappy Alternator?

Ok so over the weekend my alternator dies. WE go to the parts store and get a reman alternator. Pop it in, car works fine. then on monday my sub cuts out. I don't know why, its never ever done it before and it sure wasn't overheating. so its on and of and in and out and I begin to realize its popping on when my cooling fan kicks in. I found that very odd. Anyway when I got home tonight I turned the car off, and my CD player and system always run for an extra 3 seconds or so. anyway, after i turned the engine off the bass kicked right in. So, i turned the key to acc., and the bass is there, no cutting out. I Even crank it up, bass stays right with it and never cuts out. also, this morning (Tuesday) when I went to start the car it took forever to start, and it died on me after starting it tonight after work. remember all this started to happen right after I bought my reman alternator. (sunday) What do you guys think? also, this alt is the 75amp. I can get a 90amp for it if I want to. will it be better to go with a higher amp alternator as well?

yea definatly sounds a little fishey. i would just take some voltage measure ments off of the car. and by the way if u got the alternator from autozone i wouldn't be surprised if its gone bad already everyone i no replaces the alternators from there at least once a year and i don't care if it does have a lifetime warrenty its still a pain in the ass. all there starters are the same way i went through 4 starters in 2 years.

Oh ya I figured it out. I took it back to parts store to have tests done and my battery was spewing acid. turns out the alternator went berserk and was charging at 20 instead of 14. Fried my battery. So I changed the alternator, and battery. works fine now.
