So... I was told I NEED custom axels for a swap from a 420a to a evo4 or a evo3 silver top. I was wondering if could install gst front axels and if it would work?

...before we even go down this path. How much do you think this swap is going to cost you?

$100 bagillion million zillion trillion gabillion dollars!!! mwahahahaha

there is someone on here that runs high 11's i believe on stock suspension and axles, and slicks i might add.

OP, everyone hates this conversation, of the 10,000,000 posts about someone with an NT suggesting this swap, and countless pages of information and "no you won'ts" and "yes I wills" the same thing always happens. The person who initiated it never did it, and never will, and really has no idea what this involves.

There is only one documented swap like this ever posted on our site, while I am not saying there is only one in the world, there is only one we know of who went through with it. Based on the fact that you are considering an Evo III and an Evo IV, I would be pretty comfortable saying you are way over your head here as is.

So please, before we even open that can of worms, tell us what you think this is going to cost, and how much you truly know about doing this swap. From there we can talk.

The motor is 1500, shipped from japan. The parts and labor, the high end, 3000. The low low end 1500. This is what I wanted, for people to let me know what I need to know before go through with this. The company i contacted soundedextremley confident about what I needed to complete this project. I know its not cost effective but i belive this can happen. If you know this one guy how did? it can be done, please send me his e-mail or any contact info. Thanhs for your time and keep posting

Ok, well for one the engine is going to be oriented completely different from a 2G, so the axles aren't going to work, they won't be the proper lengths, even if the splines do match up. Evos come AWD, so you are going to need the rear sub-frame from a 2G GSX, the differential, and you may need a custom driveshaft, but I am not 100% on this.

$3,000.00 is probably not going to cut it.

Oh and by the way there is a very rare chance that I will be doing this swap. I deffinently dont have the experiance or nearly enough knowledge to do this myself.
