I am currently running a 1g bov with dodge garage mod recirculating back into intake. I am getting ready to go maft and am buying a apexi dual chamber bov from a member, to vent. I am wondering your thoughts on the apexi? Should i vent the apexi with the maft or vent the 1g with maft? Or sell them both and get the hks ssqv which is i think what i really want. Will i be happy with the performance of the apexi? Let me know your thoughts and thanks for your time.

this depends on weather you are looking for a bov that would hold a lot of psi's because you are or going to be pushing a lot of psi's or are looking for a particular sound. The 1g bov holds around 20-22 psi nicely, the hks has problems with fluttering, and i dont know anything about the apex-i.

I have the SSQV and GM MAF set up and I have never experienced problems with it.

Your question can be answered with a little more info...

How much psi do you plan to run? How much money do you have to spend? Are you looking for BOV performance or sound?

I run the apexi, on the most open setting the bov sounds really loud and beefy just sounds like a sh*tload of air being forced through, i like it but i know alot of my friends dont and alot do. I dunno if you are going for a particular sound go on google and look up bov sound clips you can search for what sounds the best.

i am looking for performance first and sound second. I ran 18psi before i put my clutch in now durring break in i am running 10psi but i never build anyboost. I am getting a evo3 in the spring when the clutch is ready for boost and i plan on running around 20psi at the track and 16-18psi daily although not a daily driver anymore. For sound i am looking for something that i can hear is all really. ive had a real type-s and wasnt happy with perfromance or sound. I dont like the type rs my buddy has on his srt4. I like the sound of the ssqv my buddy has on his mr2 though. but different cars seem do give different sound. thanks for your help sofar.

Buy whatever you want to, it's your money. Most BOV's are pretty much at the same level of performance. So it all depends on how much you're going to spend on it and what sound you personally like the most. Go to streetfire, google, or similar auto-racing sites and look for sound clips. You can get some adapter plates from the 1g to HKS flange or 1g to GReddy. That would be cheaper than a different UICP. You can also get a used BOV on the classifieds to once again cut costs.

If you want the apexi i will rip mine out and sell it to you i want a greddy type S. (I dont know if i will get in trouble for saying that in a non classifieds section if it is i will delete it)
